In the contemporary era, the approach of disease treatment employing the available health care tools has been highly thwarted. With the involvement of complex aetiology and progression of a disease, the reliance on the available synthetic drugs as well as delivery systems are considered to be quite less effective. The key challenges are primarily due to the issues of poor biopharmaceutical characteristics. In this regard, the modern healthcare system demands the availability of smart drug delivery system for catering the healthcare need.
