Author Description

"Blue Fruit" is narrated by John Field, a ship's surgeon and amateur violinist living in 1787, who suddenly finds himself amongst black jazz musicians in 20th century Manhattan. This is the author's first novel, though he has previously contributed short stories to various publications.
