1943. The Allies and Hitler's Nazi Germany fight the battle of the Atlantic. German commandos land on North Cape Island, off the north coast of Scotland. And Bruno Schafer's orders are to find a missing U boat captain with information regarding Britain's new centimetric radar. The islanders, remnants of a once thriving whaling community, deny the man's existence. However, only youngsters Billy and Ailie and an old whale catching boat, the Nordcaper, stand against Schafer succeeding in his mission.
