
The latest in a series of annual publications from the Museum of Western Film History located in Lone Pine, CA. The town and the surrounding area known as the Alabama Hills, nestled at the foot of Mount Whitney, has been used as a location by filmmakers in hundreds of movies dating back to the silent era. Lavishly illustrated with many rare and previously unseen photographs, published in conjunction with the 26th festival, celebrates the Early Years and features articles on actors who appeared in silent films made in and around Lone Pine such as Tom Mix, Buck Jones, Hoot Gibson, and Jack Hoxie to name a few.
