In Landscapology, the first systematic foundation has been formulated for the relatively new field of landscape architecture. This system could play a role in the further professionalisation of knowledge exchange. A key aspect is 'landscape urbanism', the phenomenon of urban development based on landscapes and landscape architecture. The current design approach is unravelled using six test cases, all of which differ in scale and type. This publication can be seen as a foundation work for every discipline involved: urban development, architecture, civil engineering, urban and rural planning, development and governance. Both authors are active in the field and in international higher education.
