Modern day Northern Italy. Franco, a writer unable to engage in a meaningful relationship, watched by a mysterious girl living across the street; Milos, an abstract artist driven by a need to define pure expression in his paintings, drawn into a volatile affair with an addictive party-girl; Raf, a wealthy pleasure-seeker looking for 'different things', agrees to become Milos' agent and embarks on a journey of sexual exploration; and Nico, an arts dealer with an insatiable lust for life, meets a stablehand who is happy to live one moment at a time. Whether driven by fate or necessity, all of the characters must at some point confront their real feelings, even if it means losing everything.
