Author Description

This first half of this book consists of seven long narrative poems. These mini-epics are the result of several reoccurring themes, dreams, and nightmares throughout the end of my teenage years. Through the collage of insane imagery and ideas I began to see an insight. I realized that if I stood back far enough, all those crazy little dots made a not so familiar face. So I purged this puzzling face into the seven narrative poems. They themselves represent the journey of a soul traveling beyond reality as we have come to know it. A journey endured by a man in a ten foot by ten foot cinderblock cell in an insane asylum. His home since he was ten years old. I never could decide if he was dead during his soul's journey, or if that was what made him insane. The second half of the book is a collection of poetry and songs that were written all throughout my life. Whether you're looking for something romantic, political, or just plain funny, you will find it here. Holding all of this together are several pages of art that I have drawn or assembled to represent each aspect of the book.
