About the Author Dr. Chin-Sheng Chen is a Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Florida International University (FIU), Miami, Florida. He is in charge of the manufacturing engineering programs and is the director of Manufacturing Research Center at FIU. During the last 25 years he has been teaching manufacturing systems engineering, industrial automation, product design and development, and CAD/CAM at several universities. He has been actively conducting research in these areas and has published more than 60 research papers in professional journals and conferences. He has co-authored 3 books in the CAD/CAM area. Dr. Chen received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1985. Dr. Hui Zhang is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Quad Engineering in Toronto, Canada. He is a Professional Engineer of Ontario, Canada. With more than twenty years of teaching and work experience in complex mechanical systems design and development. He is also a part-time instructor at North American College, Toronto, Canada. Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in China in 1994 and was an Associate Professor at Northeaster University in China and visiting scholar at Appalachian State University in North Carolina, USA.
