This book explores a variety of pressing health issues that appear in both Canada and the world at large, ranging from cardiovascular diseases, to diabetes, to obesity, to Parkinson's Disease. It aims to cover the root causes of these conditions, including social and hereditary factors, but it also covers the history of their research and treatment, and how they are approached in the modern day.
