This textbook introduces the reader to the fields of personality theory, cognitive psychology and educationalfic psychology as well as the growing area of health psychology. It develops the students' critical thinking skills and addresses issues crucial for social and community development in southern Africa - such as ethnicity and racism, gender and sex, poverty violence and trauma, and peace-making.
