Knowing yourself and your opponents, you won't lose; the Art of War by Sun Zi. It is the same whether you face an enemy or obstacle, a problem, etc. Plato's Allegory of the Cave told a story of an observer, i.e., you. However, who cares about their stories, the opponents, i.e., the observed, such as photons or electrons, etc.? What if you put on their shoes and walked one of their paths, such as the double-slit? Modern science is the observers' story. Humans have observed all kinds of phenomena, not just watching, natural, human, including the scientific experiment designed by a human, on the earth, out of the earth, astronomy, etc. Therefore, modern science is one side story. We understand some phenomena well, such as free fall, even the earth's travel around the sun, etc. For some other phenomena, our understandings are relative dissatisfactory, such as the double-slit experiment, Schrodinger's cat, even dogs rolling in the poo, etc. Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment about radioactive elements. Such atoms will decay as if they have life and will die. Humans can't put an atom into a box, so our cat became special again. The first chapter is dedicated to my dog, Nikki, who contributed to almost every chapter in this book. About 30 years ago, she reminded me of a story with at least two sides, an observer’s and the opposite, i.e., the one being observed. Please allow me to start with animals. This book is a brief version of the nature portion of my previous work, Double-Slit Experiment AND US-China Clash, subtitle We Connect, Therefore We Are.
