In 1954 Toho Studios unleashed Godzilla into film theaters in Japan. Two years later the newly crowned King of the Monsters appeared in the United States. The monster proved so popular that he has become a cultural sensation all over the world. Indeed, the suffix of “zilla” has become a way to make something sound larger than normal. This year marks the 70th anniversary of Godzilla, and this issue is an updated version of issue 21. Most of the material has been seen before, but there are some new parts here and there. We are happy to represent it in a new format as well. So in essence, it is far more like the original issue of Famous Monsters of Filmland #114, which itself was largely composed of previously published material. Go, go Godzilla!
