All students at technikons are required to do a communications module within their academic major. This text has been written from a language and learning across the curriculum perspective and is the first of its kind in South Africa. This text is part of a series, is the only one in South Africa that specifically addresses the language and learning needs of technikon students who do not have English as a mother tongue. The book has been extensively trailed and tested on students to ensure it addresses their particular language needs in health.
