Author Description

Set in 1929, One Last Glimpse was inspired by a car journey made by Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald, first described in Hemingway's memoir A Moveable Feast. This book is a fictional recreation of their relationship during the trip; but it is also a remarkable and convincing study of the two literary giants as well as a brilliant evocation of the period - the glamour, the vitality and the wit - seen through the eyes of Kit, the young narrator who accompanies the two writers.
