
Product Description As Malaysia enters the last decades of the century, it faces the danger of losing one of its most valuable assets - its forests. In this study the author, an economist, exmaines the forest resources of Malaysia and the evolution of forest policies, against a historical background and the setting of contemporary political and social pressures. The issues and problems now faced in Malaysian forestry are discussed, and possible solutions for the future are suggested.
