My name is Matt Devon. I feel safe in saying that Im not your average twenty-two-year-old guy. An average twenty-two-year-old wouldnt write this from behind bars, from a dark jail cell. Tomorrow marks my fourth full year in the New Mexico State Prison. Yet, from my jail cell, I still dream, I dream every night. My dream always involves football, Im always the quarterback, and we always win the championship. Tomorrow, when I stand before the parole board, I hope to show them that I deserve a fresh start on life, a second chance.
