Excerpt from Archives of Maryland: Proceedings and Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, September, 1704-April, 1706 Of the State house and Court house, seem to have made the Assembly nervous; but fuller particulars of this somewhat mysterious affair will be found in the Council Journal. In 1706 Queen Anne's County was erected out of portions of Talbot and Kent. This Legislature distinguished itself by its zeal for the advancement of trade.
