Author Description

This document provides a brief description of some of the most important products of this project and a brief introduction to some of the reports that have already been prepared using the data in these data sets. It provides a description of the challenge facing those attempting to predict the risks associated with the release of penitentiary inmates. It also focuses on the problem of predicting general recidivism for Non-Aboriginal inmates. It assesses all the statistical prediction systems. It concludes by summarizing major findings and identifying promising directions for further investigation.
