Beginning with an assessment of global economic trends affecting the region, the Outlook traces recent growth experiences and reviews important aspects of macroeconomic performance and policy in the region. It includes detailed profiles of 25 Asian countries, examining such issues as investment and growth, employment, fiscal and monetary policies, and coming prospects for the next two years. the Outlook then presents a detailed analysis of a specific development issue, the focus this year is on rural poverty in Asia, addressing issues and examining policies.
