Since its beginning in China in the 1960s, input-output analysis has expanded rapidly in terms of both theoretical developments and empirical applications. The scarcity of data coming out of China and the limited access to it makes the three major input-output tables published here for the first time in English even more valuable. This study will have special significance for economists and planners using the input-output system of analysis.
