Sarla's mother has to cancel their summer holiday to cover a news story, and Sarla is furious - until she decides to visit her grandparents. Nana and Nani live in Daroga, India, a far cry from Sarla's home in London. She befriends the mysterious Bina, who is studying to become a doctor, and her friend Sidhartha.
