Jana Müllers spatial installations function like inventories of mysterious events in a continuous play between reality and fiction, their formal arrangement reminiscent of forensic or cinematic aesthetics. An overview of her most recent series of works is presented here, along with the concepts that form their mental backdrop. At the centre of the publication are Müllers floor sculptures, comprising glass panes between which clothes and accessories are pressed and preserved, like implausible paintings or exaggerated microscopic slides. Their narratives fears, memories and fantasies resist visual portrayal. Includes a text by Kathrin Meyer.
