The Liard River, a major tributary of the Mackenzie River, loops northern British Columbia on its way from the Yukon to the Northwest Territories. This report assesses the long-term water quality trends monitored at the Liard River monitoring station located at Fort Liard, south-western Northwest Territories. Recommendations regarding water quality monitoring are provided. The bulk of the document consists of graphs showing trends (mostly back to 1984) of such parameters as flow, alkalinity, aluminium, cadmium, calcium, arsenic, carbon, chromium, colour, copper, hardness, iron, lead, manganese, selenium, water temperature, turbidity, and zinc.
