Product Description This book follows the photographer's personal journey as he seeks to embody his vision in photographic images. His curiosity and unrelenting enthusiasm for photography made this book a reality. The book is organized into ninety-nine coloured pages and sub-divided into three sections. Each section contains carefully selected photographs of unique subjects taken over several years, archived and beautifully reproduced Review Seeing Better by Jaya Prakash, is a selection of the author s photographs, introduced by the author and with an accompanying text written by his wife, Judith. The book was first printed in Singapore, where the author lives, in 2012. The book is a compilation of photographs which Jaya had taken over the years during his travels to different parts of the world. The photographs are arranged thematically within three sections. The first section, the Call of the Wild, contains images of wild amimals and birds that Jaya encountered during his travels in Africa. He has made safaris to Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia and South Africa and in each location spent many hours patiently observing the animals from various positions and at various times of day. He has succeeded in capturing the animals hunting, playing and resting and the photographs give a vivid impression of their lives. The second section, Of Wood and Stone: Ruins, Monuments and Homes, contains pictures shot in Europe, China and India. In these pages, you will not only see marvels of human architecture and construction but also the beauty and character of the people who occupy those regions. The photographs of in habitants of the Yunnan province of China are particularly evocative. The third section, Lay of the Land, is the photographer s attempt to capture vistas of great natural beauty.
