When the Sino-British Joint Declaration was signed in 1984, no one could have forseen the rocky course of political events that was to follow. On the tenth anniversary of the historical agreement, the University of Hong Kong organized the "Hong Kong Lectures" series to assess the developments of the past decade, and to consider future prospects.
