In his debut poetry collection, A Way Home, Jose Mendez explores mental health: depression, OCD, and what it looks like to heal, when healing feels impossible. These poems examine the concept of 'home, ' along with all its complexities and implications. They seek to understand love--romantic, platonic, and familial. They embody love itself.
