
•Do you want to learn exercises that allow you to acquire the basics of Luohan qigong? •Do you want to know the basic theory of the system and what are the essential points? •Do the concepts and theories that are traditionally explained in learning qigong seem complicated to you? •Do you want to get all the benefits that Luohan qigong can bring you? In most of the activities, if not all, there are a series of basic exercises aimed at learning the necessary skills for the subsequent development of said activity or discipline. It is what within the Chinese martial arts is known as Jí běngōng () (basic skill or essential technique). Luohan is a really extensive style that contains forms of both qigong and internal martial art. Although it is made up of practices that can be very different from each other, there are a series of basic elements that are necessary to know and that we use in most of the practices of the system. The exercises that I am going to show in this book are intended for the practitioner to learn to move properly using the different basic elements that make up the essence of Luohan gong. It is about learning to use the three gates, the jiaos and the dantian for the work of the different heights or areas where we want to carry the qi (energy), as well as the rotation of the waist and the correct use of the kinetic chain.
