So much has happened throughout the history of the United States that keeping track of it all can be a real challenge. Even worse, a lot of the important stuff was actually pretty boring. Can you even remember the last time the Hawley-Smoot tariff came up in a dinner party conversation? And why are you going to dinner parties, anyway? We're in the middle of a pandemic, you know. But in case you didn't know about the pandemic, that's in this book too! Picture This covers everything a college Introduction to US History course would, but you don't have to get up at 8:00 am to listen to a bald middle-aged White guy drone on at you for an hour three days a week. This book lets you listen to the bald middle-aged White guy whenever you want, and there are no tests! And certainly no essays, because God knows I already have to read enough of those. Picture This supplements a straightforward explanation of the important people, places and things that we all should know about US history with 278 cartoons that will make you smile and make you think. Well, they all won't make you smile; I mean, we have to cover slavery and nuclear weapons and assassinations among all the rainbows and unicorns, but a number of them are actually pretty funny. However, bear in mind that I wrote them, and am therefore admittedly biased. And I wouldn't mind selling a few books either, as my wife has been carrying me for a number of years now and if I don't start putting some food on the table pretty soon, she may look for greener pastures. And if you look at the picture on the back of the book, you will see that I have no business getting back into the dating pool. So please buy this book. It's thorough, informative, entertaining and if you don't buy it, then the terrorists win. Plus, it's totally non-GMO, vegan and kosher. Where else are you going to get wholesome entertainment for zero calories?
