Psychological injures present a challenging problem for claims professionals attempting to make a reliable and fair evaluation of the nature and extent of damages to a claimant. In this book the authors have brought together the views of clinical professionals with years of experience in evaluating and treating trauma victims who are filing claims or pursuing litigation, assembled the views of attorneys with a broad base of experience in these matters, and incorporated views from other professionals who provide insight into special problems associated with these claims. A useful feature of this text is the checklist found at the end of many chapters, which provides quick reminders of steps to take or issues to consider when confronted with the types of problems discussed in the chapters.
