Product Description This book celebrates OMA studio’s recently constructed addition to one of Québec’s preeminent museums, the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec. OMA’s monumental glass pavilion at the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec injects a startling and ambitious perspective into the grouping of pavilions that have towered over the St. Lawrence River for nearly a century. The book explores how the new pavilion interacts with the museum, its surrounding park, and the city of Québec. Alongside a visual portfolio of the completed structure are conversations with its leading architects, including Rem Koolhaas and Shohei Shigematsu, as well as detailed illustrations of the design and construction process.
