A bridge, an arrow, a padlock, a hand. Armed with these, we begin our journey. Welcome to the third Roll of the Dice anthology, the current vessel for the passions and dreams of the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Writers of Spokane, and the culmination of a journey begun back in 2017 with a slightly different roster but the same ambition. The tales that follow will (we hope) astound, amaze, amuse and occasionally horrify the reader. The premise is deceptively simple: the story dice yielded the four elements, and each story made use of them in what I’m happy to say are wildly different ways. If you like what you see here (and why wouldn’t you?), I encourage you to pick up the first two volumes in this trilogy as well, and be on the lookout for our next project, whatever form that may take.
