Author Description

Clara Pierre is escaping from her abusive husband when her car breaks down in the freezing cold. In the distance is an Amish farm owned by the Troyer family where Isaac Troyer lives with his brothers, John and Abram, and their Aunt Rachael. The entire Amish community steps in to help Clara and her infant daughter over the holidays and she struggles to make it to her grandmother's home in Canada by Christmas.
