Ness Havelock receives a plea for help from Roland Prince, his former partner. His friend is in Saint John so he rushes there, but it also leads him to Rita Pilar - the woman he loved and left. While trying to explain himself to Rita, Ness gets himself in the dirty business rife in Apache County and soon he must run for his life.
