This new collection from Lucy Dougan travels deep into the heart of an intensely lived-in world. Flowers, children, books, clothing and weddings appear and reappear. A complex awareness of family life is at the heart of these poems, which balance heightened emotion with visual detail, to give a sense of being earthed, and at the same time, of floating free.
