World Prehistory: Studies in Memory of Grahame Clark (Proceedings of the British Academy, Vol. 99)
Sir Grahame Clark (died 1995) was the foremost figure in world prehistoric studies. This volume presents new developments in Clark's major fields of interest, as well as reflecting on his own contribution to archaeological scholarship. The topics covered range from the origins of our own genus in Africa around two million years ago, to the issues of the Later Stone Age and the emergence of civilization in Northern Europe, Anatolia, and South-east Asia.
