This volume brings together papers presented at the Oxford Energy Seminar from 1982 to 1985, focusing on the operations of the oil market and behavior of oil prices, and the role and policies of OPEC in recent years. The book traces the major changes in Saudi Arabia's policies as evidenced by statements made at the Seminar, and includes the speeches that marked the beginning of the current oil price crisis as well as authoritative comments on OPEC policies from officials of both producers and OECD countries and senior managers of major oil companies.
