Jake Madison was town marshal in Wildern, Wyoming Territory, when his wife Emma was killed during a bank raid by outlaw Bart Peary. Jake quit his job, and embarked on a long chase after the killer. His pursuit took him to Colorado, the Texas Panhandle, the Indian Territory, and back to Wyoming Territory. In Colorado, Peary, on the run, killed again. Jake was facing a dangerous and difficult task. Even with the help of a retired Army scout and two elderly prospectors, could he possibly succeed in bringing Bart Peary and his associates to justice?
