One of best books about the shortcomings of the US jury system as well as its great strengths. It is unusual in that the entire novel is set after the trial, as in 'Twelve Angry Men,' and the action, the personalities and characters of the persons in the trial, the court officials, the judge and the jury itself emerges only in the thoughts and reflections of each person.
