The book creates an augmented knowledge about human security beyond the warfare concept in the Arctic It analyses international political analysis on security issues and their spillovers to the Arctic societies. The multi contributed book helps to conceptualize and create knowledge on democratic businesses as a human security issue. Adopting a comparative approach, it provides detailed analysis of democratic business in Iceland, Greenland, Arctic Canada, and Alaska.
