Olivia Browning was supposed to spend a few weeks holiday in Cornwall. However, the Cornish countryside of her childhood had lost its peaceful atmosphere, in its place was tension and intrigues, with new hush-hush laboratories surrounded by high fences scattering the landscape, their huge radar scanners thrust menacingly into the sky, and with helicopters coming and going mysteriously... The intrigue seemed to begin with Olivia being kissed by a stranger on the beach.
