Welcome back to everyone’s favorite pulp anthology, Startling Stories! We return with this special All-Classic, All-Pulp Reprint special issue and resolve to be the “Best Damn SF Magazine in the Solar System”. Which—considering the state of our solar system—is a goal we can most definitely aspire to! Since the advent of the modern science fiction genre in 1926 with the first issue of Hugo Gernsbach’s "Amazing Stories", there have been literally thousands of stories that have fired the imaginations of millions of readers. With a vast array of styles, themes and ideas SF and fantasy authors have explored all the myriad aspects of “life, the universe, and everything”, with varying degrees of success. For an editor, the joy of mining this rich heritage can also be the most frustrating and difficult of tasks. What tales should be bypassed and which chosen to best entertain his readers? To best represent all that SF can accomplish? To best convey and pass on his love for the field and what it can be? Not an easy task, I can tell you. Here in Startling Stories we try to do this by showcasing some of the forgotten sci-fi practitioners of the past. Of the glorious age of Pulp Science Fiction... As well as featuring these great stories, we also have Classic Pulp Art & Pin-ups, plus 2 Golden Age Comics from "Outer Space" by the legendary Steve Ditko!
