This volume includes revisions of 8 families, 28 genera and 123 species. which include aquatic plants (Nymphaeaceae and Podostemaceae, parasites (Viscaceae), climbers (Convolvulaceae), insectivorous plants (Droseraceae), besides shrubs (Aristolochiaceae and Buxaceae) and an exotic weedy herbaceous family (Phytolaccaceae) The conservation status for each indigenous taxon has beeb assessed for Malaysia Plant Red List.
