
After tracing the development of global education, U. of Alberta scholars present a study of its cultural context based on student interviews and a content analysis of global education Web sites related to anti-racism education, human rights, and cross-cultural issues. Anchan and Halli conclude that the Internet can play a role in reinforcing either a global multicultural identity or existing dominant relations, with implications for teachers and society in general to critically examine the Internet's role in global education.
