The Keg River planning area is located in northwestern Alberta, north of Manning and south of High Level. An overview of the area's natural resources for forestry, agricultural and wildlife concerns is given. Broad resource management strategies for agriculture, the watershed, ecological and historical resources, mineral resources, recreation and tourism, timber, and wildlife are presented. Land allocation for the Key River/Hawk Hills, Naylor Hills, and river corridors are set out. A general discussion of the administration structures necessary for plan implementation, review and amendment are also discussed.
