Author Description

This book reports on the latest research and developments in Biomedical Engineering, with a special emphasis on topics of interest and findings achieved in Latin America. This last volume of a 3-volume set focuses on bioinformatics advances and signal/image processing methods applied in medical diagnosis and therapy, and medical data analysis. It highlights the use of machine learning methods, deep learning models, explainable AI, serious games and mobile technologies in biomedicine and health. Throughout the book, a special emphasis is given to low-cost technologies and to their development for and applications in clinical settings.
