Poetry. These new poems have to do with frontiers and the interaction of different worlds. One section discusses our relationship with the past, another explores urban consciousness; a third group is set along the archetypical boundary of the seashore; other poems hover at the border between outer and inner worlds. This calm voice from an uncalm place is an enjoyable one, full of feeling, clear-sighted and undogmatic -- Scratch.
