William Cook (b.ca. 1798-1891) married Rachel Shaver (b.ca. 1802-1880) about the year 1831, after emigrating from Ireland about 1829. He settled in Matilda Township, Dundas County, Eastern Ontario. Their descendants lived mostly in Ontario, Candada.
