In 2008 a rapid biodiversity survey was carried out in Ramal de Calderas in the Venezuelan Andes to inventory species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes, and aquatic invertebrates associated with the different ecosystems of the area. Conservation International Venezuela carried out this evaluation with the participation of fourteen Venezuelan scientific-academic institutions, a team of twenty researchers, and the assistance of ten members of local cooperative projects. The survey revealed a high diversity of species and habitats and recorded the first survey data for several taxonomic groups, including fishes and macroinvertebrates. This report is in Spanish, with an English summary.
