Picking a name for a newborn in the era of social media and the Internet has made matters so much more complicated. Sure, there is information galore out there to help, which can be viewed as a good thing. But, there are so many thousands more books and online resources such as video and articles that it is like drowning in a well of knowledge. Probably, most parents are going to pick a "normal" name such as Aiden, Sophia, Emma, or Jackson. They might get creative and choose something unique or rare. Mom might let dad decide knowing that she got to pick the previous name. Every situation is unique. Or, maybe without even looking, she or he or they will run into a character in a movie or a TV show or mystery novel, and say, "Wait, let's call her that, honey. It's perfect!" In short, she will steal that one in a heartbeat. Something has to be written on the birth certificate in that hospital bed when the time comes. You can't dot down, "Not sure." You can't put that on the little piece of paper that just about signs your life away. If you do, they might move you to a mental hospital or "Not sure" might end up in my next book as, "some more sh*t never to give to an infant." You get the drift! Before birth, there should be more good than bad moments, but while the fetus is growing, in many cases, there will be some anguish. I have done my research. Many women do not "glow" during pregnancy. Nevertheless, women handle challenging situations better than men do. For instance, they are calmer in a crisis, no matter the crisis. Pregnancy is not usually a crisis, thank God! But for everything to go well, a woman needs to be in charge as much as she can. After all, the due date may be worrying her. (No reason: A due date is just a guess date.)
