Eight tales of death and consequences by an award-winning author. Detective Aaron Guerevich solves crimes with the help of his fiancée, forensic scientist Ann Berendt. In three of these stories, a man accused of murder is saved by cold weather; one brother poses as his dead sibling to collect insurance money; a conductor on a train murders a coin collector to steal rare gold coins.
